Terms of Service

Rivr is a community platform for sharing, organizing and mutual aid, operated as a cooperative commons. By creating an account or using Rivr at app.rivr.social or a federated Rivr instance, you agree to these terms.

The service

Rivr provides community tools: posts and feeds, events and RSVPs, groups with memberships and governance, a community marketplace, badges and trainings, and group treasuries. Payments are processed by Stripe. Rivr does not store your card details.

Payments and refunds

Purchases and subscriptions are agreements between you and the member or group offering them. Prices are shown before payment. Membership subscriptions can be cancelled anytime and end at the close of the current billing period. Contact the seller or Rivr for refund support.

Your content and conduct

You own what you post. You give Rivr and the federated instances you share to a license to display it as part of the service. Do not use Rivr for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful; communities may set and enforce additional rules.

Federation and your data

Rivr is federated: content shared publicly can flow to other instances so communities can find each other. You can leave and take your data with you. See the Privacy Policy.

Liability

Rivr is provided as-is, without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability for a claim related to the service is limited to the amount paid to Rivr in the twelve months before the claim.
